Coalition of Hardest Hit Businesses (CHHB) Summer Campaign – Continued

As an active participant in the Coalition of Hardest Hit Businesses, OMCA has represented the motor coach tourism industry in the fight for additional government supports. We successfully persuaded the Liberal government to commit to extending the subsidies that our member’s businesses rely on, and we couldn’t have done it without your help!

Specifically, a Liberal government committed to:

  • Introduce a temporary wage subsidy and rent subsidy stream for sectors like hotels, tour operators, convention centers and festivals experiencing a minimum of 40% revenue loss.
  • Qualifying businesses in these sectors would be able to access a maximum subsidy rate of up to 75%, commensurate to their revenue loss, in order to help cover fixed costs like wages and rent.
  • The subsidy would be available between September 2021 until May 31, 2022.

We thank all members who wrote letters to their MPs and took meetings during the summer campaign. It is the power of our collective voices that enabled us to be heard.

But we need your help to ensure this stays top of mind.

We are at a critical moment in time where we need to ensure that the legislation will have the maximum benefits and will work as intended for our sector. Please take 30 Seconds to write to your MP once more and help OMCA and other members of the Coalition of Hardest Hit Businesses amplify the importance of the liberal party following through on their commitment.

Sending your letter is easy!
The CHHB has created an online tool at https://hac-business-en.csaeconnect.net/ and all you will need to do is enter:

  1. Your Address (Selecting your address from the drop-down menu will automatically find your local MP)
  2. Your Name
  3. Your Email
  4. Your Business Sector

That’s it! The letter will auto-populate with your information and you can preview it before hitting send.

Please take just a few seconds to send your letter and remind our government that we will not be forgotten.
